Krishna Ramadas, Author & Researcher

Krishna Ramadas, an Indian American, cherishes his native heritage. He began as an amateur writer during a short break from his Engineering career. He did not know the short pursuit would turn into a profession. You can find his writings under the brands Conscious Cosmos and Ancient Skies. He says the following about his work.

“Indias have inherited 40 million manuscripts from its past. These texts have not drawn the attention of historians and archeologists because they do not fit the standard mold. Firstly, the subject matter in them is diverse. Secondly, a rigorous scientific approach is needed to follow their methodology. Topics in these texts become more precious as years go by in the context of new discoveries in science. Simultaneously, ideas in these texts are fading from our collective consciousness. There is some urgency in keeping them alive for future generations.”

Krishna shares his immediate findings as short write-ups on his Social Media Platforms. He relies on conventional modes of publishing only for complex topics. Krishna Ramadas published his first book ten years ago, on Vedic astronomy. His latest two books present ideas from the text of Agasthiyar, a Tamil Siddhar master who lived several centuries ago. Agasthiyar’s texts discuss ways to achieve altered states of consciousness, primarily through mineral and herbal formulations.

Krishna’s books about Siddhars

Any researcher who studies the texts of Siddhars needs to know about meditation. Firstly, Siddhars saw the realm of consciousness and the space of matter as intertwined. Secondly, many texts from the past discuss science and spirituality side by side. Krishna Ramadas’s experience as a meditator helps him in writing confidently on the above topics. He relies on his connection to SriSri in choosing topics to research for his books. He says this about SriSri

“Gurudev has the ability to lucidly explain matters from the Vedas in a modern context. He believes that the wisdom from the past is a gift to humanity. I am fortunate to have his guidance. He helps me prioritize my research work.”

Krishna Ramadas teaches Sahaj Samadhi Meditation and SKY breath Meditation. He also conducts meditation/silence retreats. You can find a list of free sessions offered by him at this link

Some common misconceptions about Conscious Cosmos

“When we shut off the mystery or awe factor in life, we not only curtail growth but also unknowingly make life mechanical. Sri Sri Ravishankar”

Even plants do not possess consciousness. Then how can the cosmos be conscious?

Peter Wohlleben, the author of The Hidden Life of Trees, explains the first part of the question well” The hierarchical ranking of living beings is unscientific. Plants process information just as animals do, but for the most part, they do this much more slowly. Is life in the slow lane worth less than life on the fast track?”. He makes a good case that a forest is a living entity. All ancient civilizations extended this idea to the earth being an organism

How could primitive people know about more advanced stuff?

The Fertile Shore – an article in the Smithsonian magazine summarizes how evolutionary genetics challenges outdated narratives about when the American continent was populated. When a different branch of science starts theorizing, it can lead to a drastically different conclusion. Similarly, we must revisit many assumptions about the Indian civilization. In addition, Ancient Indians harnessed the cognitive ability of the human brain. This fact becomes evident when we study texts with an open mind.
